AdventureRooms Zurich has created a very special gallery for you with slightly different exhibits. Visit our "Great Amuze Gallery of Art - GAGA" in the Löwenbräukunst Areal and be part of the GAGA art world. No previous knowledge is required, but those interested in art will have fun too. *A world famous and unique piece of art is missing! As always, you have 60 minutes to find this valuable art object - otherwise it would be a devastating loss for all of humanity!*
Backrooms, Kunsthalle Zürich
Unter dem Titel Backrooms findet ein Programm von Veranstaltungen, Lesungen, Performances, Screenings, Konzerten und weiteren künstlerischen Formaten unter der Planung von Otto Bonnen statt.
Association for Original Prints, founded in 1948, is the largest publisher of contemporary art editions in Switzerland, with changing exhibitions and an extensive archive.
DIAPHANES is a book publishing house active since 2001, based in Zurich with spaces in Berlin and Paris, and a multilingual magazine focusing on contemporary art, critical discourse, and international literature. The glassed-in box on Level A invites visitors to navigate and discover, look and reflect. Installations and performances by contemporary artists, regular vernissages and streamings aim at an exchange across spaces, languages and disciplines.
Galerie Francesca Pia
Galerie Francesca Pia was founded 1990 in Bern and, until today, is known for the discovery and fostering of important contemporary artists from their first exhibitions forward. After 16 years in Bern, the gallery moved to a larger space in Zurich in 2007. In 2012, the gallery was extended and relocated to a generous space in the historic Löwenbräu building, where it continues to engage in an ambitious program, representing over thirty artists of different generations.
Hauser & Wirth
Hauser & Wirth was founded in 1992 in Zurich by Iwan Wirth, Manuela Wirth and Ursula Hauser, who were joined in 2000 by Partner and President Marc Payot and CEO Ewan Venters in 2020. A family business with a global outlook, Hauser & Wirth has expanded over the past 30 years to include outposts in Hong Kong, London, New York, Southampton, Los Angeles, Somerset, Menorca, Monaco, Zurich, Gstaad, and St. Moritz. The gallery represents over 90 artists and estates who have been instrumental in shaping its identity, and who are the inspiration for Hauser & Wirth’s diverse range of activities that engage with art, education, conservation, and sustainability.
Kunsthalle Zürich exhibits internationally relevant contemporary art and ideas that relate to it. Each exhibition is an experiment. Thus the Kunsthalle continually reassesses art, its public and itself. Come visit!
The Löwenbräukunst area is a unique art center in the Zurich West district. Where beer was once brewed, there are now museums, galleries, a publishing house, art and cultural foundations, an art escape room and a restaurant.
LOI - Vegetarian Bistro
Bistro LOI is located in the heart of Zurich in the Löwenbräukunst area. We serve continuous hot and cold dishes, vegetarian or vegan. Inspired by the seasonally changing offer of local producers, we like to try new things. The dishes on our menu are simple, surprising and prepared with attention to detail. Wherever possible, we source organic products.
The Luma Foundation’s exhibition spaces Luma Westbau and schwarzescafé are part of the refurbished and expanded Löwenbräukunst art complex in Zurich. Luma Westbau opened in 2013, presenting international projects, exhibitions and events commissioned and produced by the Luma Foundation. In 2004, Maja Hoffmann created the Luma Foundation in Switzerland to support the activities of artists, independent pioneers, and organizations working in the visual and performing arts, photography, publishing, documentary film-making, and multimedia. The Foundation produces, supports, and enables challenging art projects committed to an expansive understanding of environmental issues, human rights, education, and culture.
Ever since 1957 the Migros Culture Percentage has been supporting cultural and social initiatives, though which it unlocks a wide range of opportunities for the population at large. Alongside our traditional programmes, we specifically highlight visionary social ventures.
Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst
The Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst presents changing solo and group exhibitions as well as works from its own collection on two floors. The internationally renowned museum sees itself as a dynamic place for contemporary art, and the extensive educational and supporting program also contributes to this.
Carving out new paths requires will and determination and deserves respect. We strengthen the hand of our pioneers and take the first step with them into the unknown. The Migros Pioneer Fund is a voluntary development fund of the Migros Group companies. It was founded as the Migros Commitment Development Fund in 2012. Since 2021, its pioneering spirit has been reflected in its new name. The idea behind it stems from much further back, to Migros founder Gottlieb Duttweiler, who resolutely followed his vision. Just as we are doing today.
schwarzescafé | Luma Westbau
The multifunctional space "schwarzescafé" is located on the second floor of the Luma Westbau, part of the Löwenbräukunst area, and was designed by Austrian artist Heimo Zobernig in 2016. As an architectural intervention, the space serves as a film screening room, lecture hall, exhibition space and reading room for the Kunsthalle Zürich library. schwarzescafé hosts changing exhibitions and events by Fredi Fischli and Niels Olsen.
